Even more JustRite

I'm having so much fun playing with my JustRite stuff and getting some great inspiration from the ongoing contest. I was so excited to have my Mizzou card featured on the blog.

For the 8X8 scrapbook page I made a custom embellishment to write out All Star First Grader and Emma's name. I made it look like a blue ribbon.

In the corner of the photo there is a custom made 1st button that I made with the large numbers and white shrink plastic. I punched two holes before shrinking so it would like a button.

I continued the button theme with the next project. I thought they make nice custom embellishments to use on a card or scrapbook page. I went with our last initial. I put them on a card so they would like store-bought buttons.

JustRite Mizzou

I had this idea floating around in my head for a while and today's JustRite challenge of using the small letters fit perfect.

This is in honor of my Mizzou Tigers who take on the Illini this Saturday. Go Tigers!

I used Gina K's tiny tees and my JustRite monogram stamper with the small letters. I had some Mizzou stickers I bought forever ago, and added a little embellished tag to the corner. I thought it needed more, so I added tiny pawprints.

More JustRite

I created these items for my Secret Sister in a swap I'm in on PaperCrafts web site.

I used the JustRite monogram stamper with the From the library of border. I thought these would be good to use when you borrow a book to someone. They not only get a bookmark, but a reminder of who the book belongs to.

The scallop circle goes over the pages to keep your place. I got this idea from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. Check out her great video tutorials.

Next is a note set with a storage box. For this, I used the From the desk of border. The box (from my mom) is the perfect size for standard sized cards. I used just one sheet notecards for this. I distressed everything with the Old Paper Ranger Distressing Ink.

I hope she likes them. They were sure fun to make!

JustRite Scrappy Page

Here is a scrapbook layout I made for a monthly swap I'm in. I combined it with a JustRite contest going on right now.

I used the monogram stamper to make the title "All About Me" and the journaling circles. Pretty straight forward. I have some ideas for a few more JustRite cards. I'm waiting for an order to come in with more borders and the curlz font.

Clothing challenge

I came across a great blog the other day, Libby's Little Addiction. Once a week she has a challenge based on one of her daughter's outfits. I thought this was a great idea and had to play along.

From her example, I was inspired to use my Verve stamps that had to get ink. I've had this green paper forever, and thought of it immediately when I saw the dress inspiration.

The flowers were stamped in Basic Brown and cut out. I added cinnamon Stickles to the centers and covered the entire flower with Diamond Glaze. They look great IRL. I stamped the Congratulations and because I don't have the greatest white ink, I went over it with my Sakura pen (the best white pen ever). The sentiment is punched with a Marvy Uchida oval scalloped and popped up on some more great Dollar Store 3-D adhesive. Ribbon is American Crafts.

I can't wait for the next inspiration piece.

Make a Smilebox scrapbook

A couple of cards

Here are some cards I made last night.

This is first one is a birthday card for Cheron, my sister. I used Taylor's Cupcake sketch from last friday. I really like this sketch; it's nice and versatile.

Paper is Reminisce and the stamp is Inque Boutique. I stippled on Old Paper Distress Ink on all layers and roughed up the edges. I tied on some rafia and added orange brads. Funny story on the rafia...I had it on the couch the other night as I was finishing up the centerpiece for my daughter's birthday (more on that later). I was too tired to pick it up and put it back in my scrap area. When John, my DH, came home, he thought it was hay (why would I have hay in the house??) and threw it away. Luckily, I found a lone piece in my stash.

The other card is for a wedding this weekend. The paper is from the new Martha Stewart line at Wal-Mart. Love the patterns. Stamp is Always from SU! I stamped it in Basic Gray and then added clear embossing powder all over the image. I glued each of those pearls on by hand because I was worried they would go crooked if I kept them on the string. Of course, then my sentiment was crooked! Oh well....
