Halloween countdown

I used a magnetic board to create this Halloween Countdown. I stamped the numbers with the JustRite number set and the words on the magnetic ring are from the small letter set. You move the ring every day to count down the days.

The great thing is nothing is adhered down so I can change it out for Christmas, or another holiday.

The other card is my first attempt at criss cross. Love this concept. It also follows the clothing inspiration from Libby's Little Addiction.

Personalized ornament

Two projects for today...a personalized ornament and a recipe card. I haven't made this type of ornament in a long time. I updated it by stamping first with my JustRite monogram stamper. I had the tassel in my stash from a really, really long time ago. It matched perfect with the paper. Initially I wanted a jingle bell, but couldn't find them.

The recipe is part of a very belated birthday gift for my sister. The rest of the gift will include a limoncello carafe and glasses from Napa Style.

Tick Tock

Per my husband's request, I made a birthday card for his brother, Joe. I created a clock face using the numbers from the small letter JutRite set. I had a Sizzlit die cut of gears that I hadn't used yet, and pulled that out to add something extra to the clock face. I made my own arrows and attached them with brads.

My trusty Cricut helped me make a title to go along with the clock theme. The patterned paper is some I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

And since I had spent all that time getting the numbers just so for my clock (I have the inky fingers to proof it!), I brainstormed another project. This is what I came up with:

It's a telling time practice book for my first grader. I stamped a cover and then added pages with blank clocks. I used the large JustRite numbers to stamp a time. Now, she will have to draw in the arrows to reflect the written time.

I bound the book with brads, so I can add and substract pages as she fills it up. Once we've mastered the full hours, it's on to the half hours.

These were fun to make, and pretty quick (once I had the stamp prepped).

Even more JustRite

I'm having so much fun playing with my JustRite stuff and getting some great inspiration from the ongoing contest. I was so excited to have my Mizzou card featured on the blog.

For the 8X8 scrapbook page I made a custom embellishment to write out All Star First Grader and Emma's name. I made it look like a blue ribbon.

In the corner of the photo there is a custom made 1st button that I made with the large numbers and white shrink plastic. I punched two holes before shrinking so it would like a button.

I continued the button theme with the next project. I thought they make nice custom embellishments to use on a card or scrapbook page. I went with our last initial. I put them on a card so they would like store-bought buttons.

JustRite Mizzou

I had this idea floating around in my head for a while and today's JustRite challenge of using the small letters fit perfect.

This is in honor of my Mizzou Tigers who take on the Illini this Saturday. Go Tigers!

I used Gina K's tiny tees and my JustRite monogram stamper with the small letters. I had some Mizzou stickers I bought forever ago, and added a little embellished tag to the corner. I thought it needed more, so I added tiny pawprints.

More JustRite

I created these items for my Secret Sister in a swap I'm in on PaperCrafts web site.

I used the JustRite monogram stamper with the From the library of border. I thought these would be good to use when you borrow a book to someone. They not only get a bookmark, but a reminder of who the book belongs to.

The scallop circle goes over the pages to keep your place. I got this idea from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. Check out her great video tutorials.

Next is a note set with a storage box. For this, I used the From the desk of border. The box (from my mom) is the perfect size for standard sized cards. I used just one sheet notecards for this. I distressed everything with the Old Paper Ranger Distressing Ink.

I hope she likes them. They were sure fun to make!
